One of the most difficult things about parenting in today’s culture is the language barrier. With text messaging, hashtags, social media terms, and just good ol’ fashion slang it can be difficult to understand what your students are talking about.  Our friends over at thesoruce4parents.com have come up with an easily accessible way to search slang terms with their Slang Dictionary. It is a great source of information that can help you understand your students better. Another database that can be helpful to parents is netlingo.com’s TXT MSG acronym list, which complies an extensive list of acronyms often used in text messages and online chat platforms.
